LOCATION

Messinian or otherwise Exo (Outer) Mani is one of the most idyllic destinations in mainland Greece. Made of archetypal images, with a tame and rich landscape, it is distinguished by its residents’ system of values that formed its independent nature. Kardamyli with its atmospheric cobbled streets, the tower houses, the small harbor overlooking the island of Merope and the old town – where the route for Viros gorge starts – is the unquestionable star of the region and favorite destination of intellectuals, as well as, nature lovers. Just 10 km south, Agios Nikolaos with its languid pace, the nostalgic aura and tables next to the pier is the perfect place for family holidays all year round, but also an ideal base for daily adventures …

HOW TO GET THERE

From Athens, follow the Athens-Corinth-Tripoli highway, then the route Tripoli-Kalamata Megalopolis. After reaching Kalamata, from the coastal road of the city, follow the signs to Areopolis – 10km. after Kardamyli you come across Ag. Nikolaos. The total distance is 290 km.
There are daily bus routes from Athens, Patras and Thessaloniki to Kalamata. There are also regular train connections from Athens and Patras to Kalamata.

What a lovely place! Set in a gorgeous setting, with a mountain and sea views. The host Kiki is a lovely woman, so happy and helpful! The home is nearly brand new… Oh and the lovely gardens, magical, she has pomegranates, Quince, aloe vera, oregano, thyme, olives, jasmine… All sorts of things growing.. Very well tended..

This year was already our second summer vacation at Poliana Estate in the Garden Villa. The house is very well equipped and very clean. Everything is exactly as described. We loved the view from the patio over the Messinian Gulf, directly into the sunset. The kids enjoyed the pool everyday. Maria’s aunt Kiki welcomed us warmly and was always available to assist us. We will definitely come back to this beautiful place.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the villa. Everything exceeded our expectations, delightful hosts, comfy, very clean and well equipped house, beautifully designed, the shared pool was well managed and a nice social area to meet other people staying on the estate. We knew the area already but had fun finding new places to swim and eat. We would highly recommend this villa.
